There is a beautiful swimming pool with views across the river and plentiful places to sit, both shaded and in open sun in the well maintained gardens. The views are stunning.
Much of the land is mountainside but there are extensive flat areas along the riverbank planted to olives and other crops.
Access is by a hard track approximately 2.2 kms long which is maintained by the local authority and used by a number of cortijos further along the valley. The school bus passes daily along this track.

Each cortijo has its own individual solar power and the property enjoys the rights to a vast amount of water fed by an acequia. Because of its freedom from connected services and due to the sympathetic renovation, the property has won an award for Green Holiday Accommodation.
Location
The property is situated approximately 8 kms from Órgiva, in a very rural area. which is a 15 minute drive away. Órgiva, which is a charming agricultural town with all the necessary amenities including supermarkets, banks and a medical centre, as well as many bars and restaurants, is a 15 minute drive away. Órgiva is located in a valley in the southern slopes of Sierra Nevada, and is considered the capital of the Western Alpujarras, a surprising and historical region between the highlands of Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean. It is about half an hour's drive to Pampaneira and Capileira, two of the highest mountain villages in all of Spain, and about 20 minutes away from the spa town of Lanjarón, famous for its healing waters. Granada is just a 50 minutes drive to the north, while the nearest beach is at Salobreña at an approximate driving distance of 35 minutes. Málaga and its international airport are approx. 90 minutes away.
