This contemporary villa, which was built in 2007, is located in La Herradura, which is one of the most beautiful coastal villages in Southern Spain. It is a mere 45 minute drive to Malaga airport. La Herradura is famous for its horse shoe shaped bay and for the amazing sunsets that you can witness from here. From the villa it is an easy walk to the beach and to the restaurants. You can even hear the sounds of the sea from the terrace of the villa. The location of this villa is ideal as it isn´t overlooked and it is very private although it isn´t isolated.
At road level, there is an impressive entrance to the villa. There is a 2 car garage on each side of the entrance, so in total there is parking for 4 cars. Each garage gives direct access to the inside of the property. On the entrance level, there is a lift that takes you up to the guest apartment and the 2 levels of the main house. There are also steps for those of you who like prefer to stay fit!
On the first level above the road, there is very nice guest apartment that has an open plan, lounge diner with an integrated, modern kitchen. The lounge opens onto a spacious terrace with lovely sea views. There are steps on this terrace that lead up to the terrace of the main house where the private pool is located. Back in the apartment, there are 3 good sized bedrooms, each with fitted wardrobes. All of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms because one of the bathrooms has Jack and Jill access. No expense was spared in terms of the finishes and decor of this guest apartment are very nice. Each room has hot and cold air conditioning and low wattage electric radiators.
The main house is on the next level. The living area, kitchen and cloak room are on the same level as the large pool terrace. The terrace has sun all day long and you can even witness the spectacular sunsets from here. There are 3 walls that have wall to wall, floor to ceiling, sliding glass doors so even if you are inside, you can enjoy the views to the pool, the sea, the pine trees and the blue skies. The sense of space and the feeling of being integrated with the exterior is just amazing. Of course, you have the added benefit of being able to move seamlessly from inside to outside. There is plenty of space on the enormous terrace for outdoor living. The pool is about 4.5 x 9 meters.
