CASA DO PEPE provides a really comfortable home from home, and a relaxing base from which to explore the rest of Galicia. The house has been sympathetically restored to preserve the best of the original building while providing the comforts expected in a modern home. The village is tiny, with only the owner and one other neighbouring family living there. LA CASITA. We have recently finished restoring a 1 bedroom cottage which is now available to rent either on its own or together with Casa do Pepe for a larger family. The main roads give good connections to Ourense, Santiago de Compostella, Lugo, Vigo and the west coast as well as the north or south into Portugal. The main local town, Monforte de Lemos, is only 7km distance and has rail and bus connections. It also has a hospital, supermarkets, banks, cafes, restaurants and shops as well as museums and other cultural and sports activities. Also within a 5km drive are the council towns of Ferreira de Panton and Escairon which have good facilities too. In the summer all the local councils have openair swimming pools, and there are at least two river beaches a short drive away.The houses are situated almost in the centre of Galicia making it really easy to explore this fantastic country.
