The lounge is situated to the right of the hall and is accessed down two steps and an archway, a lovely Spanish traditional feature that works well in the house. The lounge is a spacious with windows to both front and side access. The Master Bedroom is also a good size with ensuite bathroom. The property is located 1 minute from a main road, the access is tarmac, a 4x4 is not necessary. Guaro is a pretty village with quiet streets lined with palm trees, flowers, a fountain at each end of the town, intriguing architecture, both old and new, roadside benches for rest and contemplation and, very important for me, in contrast to the bedlam of some of the more densely populated villages, absolute peace and tranquillity. The middle two weekends of September are very different, the town hosting the Luna Mora Fiesta, when thousands of visitors flood the area, with buses ferrying visitors in from huge carparks on the outskirts of the pueblo. During the day there are Moroccan markets and at night the only light is by candles, which line the streets. There are many little bars and restaurants and even a disco for those determined for some reason to shake off the feeling of total serenity, although if you value unbridled charm, friendliness and perhaps the most delicious examples of authentic Spanish cooking in the whole of Andalucia, Guaro is in a prime position for further exploration, with towns such as Monda, Coin, Tolox and Yunquera all relatively very near...
