The house is accessed via a small steep concrete road from the main N340/E15 road. Although a steep road it is only 1 minutes drive up and the street has street lights at night. There is parking for a car down by the access gates and the house is a short walk up. The house has a large living/dining room with spectacular clear views of the sea and surrounding coast. There is a main double bedroom with double bed and 2 small partitioned single rooms. There is a bathroom with bath/shower, bidet, toilet and wash hand basin. The kitchen has a gas cooker, kettle, microwave oven, fridge with small freezer and all utensils. There is a small terrace area outside with garden furniture and land below for use by renters. The village can be reached by a minutes drive or few minutes walk down the hill and you can walk under the road to the beach rather than cross the road. However as I mentioned it is a steep little hill so walking up is much harder. Linen and towels are provided weekly although you should bring your own beach towels. There are restaurants and bars in La Mamola, 2 small supermarkets, fishmongers, bakers, chemist, Doctors surgery, hardware store, tobaconist, paper shop,post office and 2 gift shops. It is situated close to the main N340 road which runs up and down the full coast of Spain so easy to reach any of the other Costas. Buses run from the bottom of the hill too, going in both directions Costa del Sol or up to Costa Almeria. There is a golf course in Motril about 20 minutes drive away. Granada is approximately an hours drive where you can visit the Alambra Palace or the ski resorts of the Sierra Nevada. There are large supermarkets and shops in both directions from La Mamola. They are Adra & Motril. This is still a very Spanish resort and popular with Spanish holiday makers. The bars are mainly Spanish spoken although locally there are a couple of English speaking bar owners. The house is a good place for a relaxing summer holiday and is suitable for children although may not be suitable for very young because of its position on the mountain. Sadly it is not suitable for the infirm because of its position. Mountain deer can be seen in the mornings and evenings roaming the land and if you are lucky you may see the dolphins pass along in the sea. The owner lives in a house above the Casa Torre so is available if you require any help. Perfect place for that relaxing summer break. The closet airport is Almeria and it is 45minutes from the airport to the house on the main N340 heading towards Malaga. Malaga is 1½ hours away but still a straight drive on the E15/N340 towards Almeria. Granada is an hour away. A car is really essential here for coming up the mountain and getting out and about to see the area. Any other questions please contact me.
