High-Definition Multi-media Interface (HDMI) is an interface format that provides uncompressed digital audio and video directly to a digital television. In addition to HDMI, the 50HM66 supports a variety of connections: S-video, A/V component, and composite. A video labeling feature allows you to name these connections after the items connected through them, such as "VCR" and "DVD." The 50HM66's audio features are designed to get the best sound out of your digital signal. It is compatible with the MTS stereo television audio standard, and even features dbx noise reduction.
