Vista Alegre is a beautiful Alicante Holiday Rental property of 14.5 acres (55K sqm), set amidst a pine forest where wild rosemary abounds. A dry river bed rich with birdlife forms the boundary. The estate includes not only olive and almond trees but also figs, pomegranates and both wine and eating grapes. Our olives are harvested and the oil can be bought at the local cooperative.One of only fifteen masias, (traditional Spanish farmhouses) Vista Alegre is located along the beautiful scenic route between Ibi and Alcoi in the Vinalopo region.Situated on the outskirts of the charming town of Ibi, with views of the Parc Natural del Carrascar de la Font Roja, this late 19th Century building was lovingly renovated in 2005. Original features have been restored and natural materials used. Wherever possible the walls are part exposed stone and part sand-coloured render combined elegantly with solid wood ceiling beams and tiled flooring capturing the atmosphere of the past.The accommodation sleeps 15 [+baby/toddler] over the two upper floors of the main building, ideal for groups, friends or family. Alternatively the apartments can be booked independently. Almendras on the first floor sleeps 7 [+baby/toddler] and Olivas on the second floor sleeps 8. They are accessed via an exterior staircase which leads to a self-contained private entrance. Almendras:This first floor apartment has been decorated in typical Mediterranean style, using a signature of local traditional blue tiles throughout. The huge living/dining area boasts beautiful views of the olive groves and almond trees.Accommodation is arranged as 2 doubles (or twins) and 1 family suite (double with interconnecting single and ensuite bathroom). There is a separate bathroom and toilet. This apartment sleeps 7.Olivas:This second floor apartment has a very rustic Spanish look, taking full advantage of the exposed olive wood beams from which it takes its name. It has a glorious dual aspect living/dining room which stretches the entire width of the apartment and overlooks both the pine forest and the olive groves.
